Glove Materials

Renco provides gloves in the following materials

  • Hypalon (CSM or CSPE): This material provides excellent resistance against heat, chemicals, Hydrogen Peroxide, weathering, and ozone aging. Our Hypalon gloves are flame-resistant, and can be worn while handling oxidizing products, concentrated acids, ammonia, and alcohols, and concentrated alkalis. .  As always, it is incumbent on the end-user to determine the suitability for any protective glove based upon the factors in their laboratory and the conditions of the application.

  • Butyl:  These gloves comprise a layer of butyl, which is basically an isobutylene/isoprene copolymer. The material has a low gas permeability, and provides excellent resistance against chemicals. Hence, our gloves are ideal to use while handling various chemical products, sterilizing products, alcohols, and ketonic solvents. Butyl gloves can be worn while working with oxidizing products, concentrated acids and alkalis, and ammonia.

  • Latex: Latex gloves provide a variety of benefits, which make them ideal for various industrial applications. Our latex gloves are puncture resistant, and provide the benefit of elasticity. These gloves are ideal for medical industry, as well as food service and processing, automotive and manufacturing industry.

  • Neoprene: The neoprene gloves are valued for their flame resistant properties, and provide excellent resistance against ozone aging, weathering, chemicals, and heat. The gloves are ideal to use while handling oxidizing products, petrol, ammonia, alcohols, mineral oils, etc. However, it is not recommended for chlorinated and aromatic solvents.

  • Nitrile: These gloves provide excellent puncture resistance, and are ideal for applications where excellent chemical resistance is needed. Hence our nitrile gloves are preferred in automotive, safety, and chemical industries. Also, these gloves are FDA approved, and provide benefits of durability, strength, and barrier protection against pathogens.

  • Butadyl: The butadyl gloves are valued for their anti-static properties, and are ideal for applications where static discharging is a main issue. These gloves are puncture resistant, durable, and flexible.

  • Viton: These gloves are known for their chemical resistance properties. The Viton material is well-known for its compatibility with hydrocarbons, however, it is not recommended for ketones such as acetone, or ester solvents, and organic acids. Viton gloves provide excellent impermanence to many organic solvents that would easily permeate nitrile gloves.

  • Polyurethane: The polyurethane gloves are well-known for their mechanical properties such as excellent abrasive, tear, and ozone resistance, natural aging resistance, and their ability to withstand aliphatic solvents. Hence, these gloves are ideal for nuclear and chemical industry.

  • Leather: We provide excellent quality leather gloves, which are used as work gloves in various industries. These gloves are valued for their durability, and ability to retain integrity in various conditions.
