Butyl offers the highest level of chemical permeation resistance to gas and/or water vapors.
Butyl:
- is ideally suited for the handling of ketones, esters, acetone, benzene, ethanol, and toluene;
- stays flexible at extreme temperatures;
- can withstand VHP;
- has the highest impermeability to water vapor and is impermeable to most gases;
- holds up well to physical stresses such as oxidation solvents and chemicals;
- is black in color.
